Molybdenum disilicide (MoSi2) heatingelement is a resistance generate-heating component made from MoSi2 orthe basic material. It is used in high temperature under the oxidizingatmosphere, it looks like glass in its surface and form a light SiO2 glass filmwhich can protect the element not to be oxidized. So this kind of element hasunique effect for resisting oxidization in the high temperature. It is used tothe highest temperature up to 1800C during oxidizingatmosphere. According toyour request, our company can produce the products of Pole, "U", "W" and"U"-right angle shapes, etc.

   MoSi2 heating element can usually make use of furnace temperature from1300C to 1800C. It is extensively used in the industries of metallurgy, glass,ceramic refractory, crystal electronic device, industrial furnace manufacture,etc.. It is an essential ideal element when the products are sintering in thehigh temperature.

2. Chemistry Character
    MoSi2 heating elementis used in thehigh temperature under oxidizing atmosphere. It will form the SiO2 film whichcan keep the element from being melted. During the oxidizing process, the SiO2protecting film is formed again when the element continues to be used. The MoSi2heating element must not be used in the temperature between 400C and 700C for along time, otherwise the element will be cremated under the strong oxidizingfunction in the low temperature.

MoSi2 HeatingElement's installation:


     The brittleness ofMoSi2 heatingelement is relative more under the usual temperature, it also hasplasticity under the high temperature. So you had better hang and erectvertically the "U"-shape element. If you need to erect it horizontally, pleasechoose a support of high-temperature insulating materials. The cone-part of theelement must extend inside the furnace. At first the fixture of MoSi2 powerconnector cant be screwed too tightly.When temperature of the element is goingup,please twist it tightly again, so the element is not easilybroken.
